  2.                LOUDSPEAKER ENCLOSURE DESIGNER (LED) version 2.0

  5. NOTE:  To use this program, you must first have As Easy As spreadsheet
  6.        version 5.50C or newer installed on your computer!!  This shareware
  7.        program is available from many bulletin boards and is often found
  8.        in two archives:  ASA55C-1.ZIP and ASA55C-2.ZIP.

  11.        This archive should contain the following files:

  15.        INSTALL.BAT
  16.        MAKEBAT.BAT
  17.        INPUT.COM
  18.        L200-D.FPX
  19.        L200-F.FPX
  20.        LED200SW.FPX

  23.        All files MUST be present for LED to install and operate correctly.

  26. To install Loudspeaker Enclosure Designer (LED) version 2.0, extract all
  27. files to a floppy diskette.  They will all fit on a 5.25" 360k diskette,
  28. and 3.5" disks work fine, also.

  31. INSTALLING LED v2.00
  32.  
  33.     First, you must have As Easy As installed in it's default directory,
  34.     z:\ASEASY\, with z representing the drive where the program resides.
  35.  
  36.     If you've received LED v2.00 in it's zipped archive form, you must first 
  37.     unzip all the files in the archive LEDV200.ZIP to a floppy disk - one 
  38.     5.25" 360k has enough room using Pkunzip version 2.  Then you MUST 
  39.     execute the INSTALL.BAT program to properly set up LED on your hard disk.  
  40.     You will be prompted for the drive name where As Easy As is installed.
  41.     
  42.     If you've received an LED source diskette, you should insert the diskette
  43.     into the proper drive, log to that drive and execute the INSTALL program.

  45.     When INSTALL.BAT is finished, LED installation is complete.

  48.     You should create a startup batch file for LED v2.00, too, using the
  49.     included MAKEBAT utility.  I recommend you create this file because:
  50.  
  51.     1) MAKEBAT creates a batch file LED2.BAT which will start up both 
  52.        As Easy As and LED with your own customized startup parameters.  
  53.  
  54.     2) This greatly simplifies starting LED v2.00, since you will only need 
  55.        to type LED2 to start LED from anywhere in your system.
  56.  
  57.     MAKEBAT should only need to be run once, unless you want to change any 
  58.     startup parameters and create a new LED2.BAT file.
  59.  
  60.     To create a startup file for LED, type MAKEBAT followed by the startup 
  61.     parameters you want:

  64. MAKEBAT z: c: VGA MONO VM x:\  
  65.         |  |  |   |    |  | 
  66.         |  |  |   |    |  |----Optional path for virtual memory.  Omit this 
  67.         |  |  |   |    |       if expanded memory is available.  You should
  68.         |  |  |   |    |       direct this file to a 550k or larger RAM disk
  69.         |  |  |   |    |       for best speed, if you can.
  70.         |  |  |   |    |  
  71.         |  |  |   |    |----Use virtual memory.  Omit if you have 
  72.         |  |  |   |         expanded memory available.

  74.         |  |  |   |----Select COLOR or MONO screens.  You must select one.

  76.         |  |  |----Set the graphics type your machine supports, options are
  77.         |  |       CGA, EGA, VGA or AUTO for autodetect.  You must select one.

  79.         |  |----Location for the startup file, i.e.  C:\BATCH   This
  80.         |       should be on your DOS path.  You must specify a location.

  82.         |----Drive where As Easy As & LED are located, i.e.  C:  You must
  83.              specify this drive name.

  86.     If you want monochrome graphics, you MUST start As Easy As itself FIRST,
  87.     specifying mono on the command line.  Then you must save the configura-
  88.     tion using /User /Install /Save Config.  At this point you may either 
  89.     load LED or restart As Easy As & LED at a later time.
